Opened in 1996 in the former Convent of the Poor Sisters of Saint Clare, Cavan County Museum features an array of exhibitions showcasing the culture and heritage of County Cavan since the earliest of times.  A collection of portraits donated by Lady Diana Farnham remembers the importance of the Farnham family in the region while a large display records the life and work of Percy French (1854-1920), County Cavan’s favourite adopted son.  The Nun’s Gallery includes information on the history of the convent and the Order of the Poor Sisters of Saint Clare.
