The Heritage Series – Knowledge Skills in Conservation Works

04 April 2023

The Register of Heritage Contractors are collaborating with the Construction Industry Federation on The Heritage Series, a series of recorded webinars aimed at raising awareness and understanding of conservation works, practices and materials when working on historic buildings and protected structures.

The six recorded webinars are aimed at those interested in our built heritage, heritage contractors, contract managers and those working in a supervisory capacity.  The Heritage Series, delivered by contractors active within the sector, will provide an opportunity to learn basic conservation principles and provide an insight to mitigating risks associated with conservation works.  The Heritage Series includes:

Our Built Heritage by Colm Murray

Our Historic Roofs by Niall O’Regan of Crannog Roofing

Ironworks by Colm Bagnall of Bushy Park Ironworks

Traditional Windows by Barry Callaghan of Timeless Sash Windows

Bricks and Brickwork by Jimmy O’Friel of Oldstone Conservation

Traditional Building Lime and Decorative Plasterwork by Paul Griffin of Griffin Plastering

A link to each of the recorded webinars will be circulated to registered users.

Each recorded webinar can be booked individually at a cost of €30 + Eventbrite fee while the series of recorded webinars can be booked at the discounted cost of €150 + Eventbrite fee.

Registered users will earn 6 CPD points for the series – 1 CPD point per talk – and will receive a Certificate of Attendance on completion.
