Description

A modest late-Georgian country house, facing west on a flat site, with farm buildings and walled garden, all south of the River Suir. A small park is separated from the front of the house by a ha-ha giving views north west to the Suir. Walled garden and associated buildings in good condition. It also retains areas of historic tree planting and some of its access routes.

1: Detached three-bay single-storey over basement house, c.1820, on a rectangular plan centred on single-storey portico.

Outbuilding

3: Yard east of house with detached two-storey multi-bay outbuilding of rubble stone with pitched slate roof in good condition. Access to yard via carriage entrance and by gothic doorway to garden.

4: Detached outbuilding to southeast, now part of separate property that uses the historic secondary gate to the road.

One avenue from Old Kilmeaden Road, pre 1843, running northwest and dividing to rear and front of house. Previously, this returned to the road to the southeast past the outbuildings to a separate exit that now serves a recent detached dwelling.
