Ornamental grounds for present house from 1860, originally in isolation in a former field. An earlier house with outbuildings and walled garden was adjacent to the road on the west side; at that time a straight avenue lead to farmland - this was retained as access to the new house and remains heavily planted with trees and shrubs; beyond stables and productive garden built for the present house, the new drive curves. Area around the house beautifully planted out and maintained. Fine mature specimen trees to the north, northeast and northwest. Field with modern eye-catcher temple to south. Complex of modern glasshouses southeast of house.
