Appraisal

This farmyard is notable for the quality of the L-plan outbuilding that displays good masonry details and a variety of openings. The hood-mouldings to the gable reflects the design of the house, and the carving of a robin is a pleasantly surprising artistic embellishment. The retention of pointed-arch window frames adds considerably to the interest of the building. Together with the house this farmyard forms a notable group in the local landscape.
