Description
Single-arch limestone railway-over-road bridge, built c.1850. Roughly-hewn blocks built to courses. Round arch with rock-faced voussoirs, roughly dressed soffit, sloping buttresses to both elevations. Smaller limestone bridge or culvert to south-west having rock-faced voussoirs. Railway now disused.
Appraisal
This well constructed bridge demonstrates good quality masonry typical of railway construction in the latter half of the nineteenth century, and although no longer in use has maintained its integrity.
