Limestone railway bridge, built c.1865, underside now filled in to level of base of parapets. Segmental arch having rock-faced voussoirs, rock-faced spandrels, chamfered cut-stone spandrels, broken coursed squared rubble parapet walls with chamfered heavy punch-dressed copings. Square-plan pilasters either side of arch opening and to east and west ends of parapet walls. Carries access road to Saint Davnet's Hospital from the Monaghan to Derry Road.
Although filled in, this disused railway bridge is of clear architectural interest. It was well executed in good quality masonry and was the product of skilled masons and designers.
