Description

End of row three-bay single-storey former laundry, built c.1820, with gabled porch to front elevation. Hipped slate roof with stone eaves course and red brick chimneystacks topped with moulded copings, and having corrugated-metal roof to porch. Random rubble limestone walls with cut-stone quoins, and having metal tie-plates to front elevation. Square-headed window openings with two-over-two and three-over-three pane sliding timber sash windows with red brick surrounds and stone sills. Square-headed door opening with cut-stone surrounds to porch.

Appraisal

This building formed part of a complex of buildings that had various functions associated with Glaslough and the Castle Leslie estate. It retains many original elements such as the timber sash windows and the cut-stone porch. It is part of a street of buildings just outside the demesne walls.
