Single-span limestone railway viaduct, built c.1855, carrying road over disused Portadown to Cavan railway line. Round to segmental arch with rock-faced voussoirs and red brick soffit, long limestone approach walls and sloping buttresses to both elevations. Roughly hewn limestone blocks built to courses. Chamfered cut-stone string course above level of arch, and cut-stone copings to parapets.
This railway bridge, one in a group of similar structures, lacks the curving wing walls of the others, but rather has long approach walls, giving it a strong presence in the local landscape. It is enhanced by its cut-stone string course and parapet and other details.
