Four-span bridge, built c.1820, crossing the stream-like An Abhainn Bheag [Owenbeg] tributary of Abhainn RĂ¡ithe [Ray River]. Rubble sandstone walls with rendered chamfered copings to parapets, flat arches comprising single stone lintels, and triangular stone cut-waters. Parapets altered, with date of 7/7/81 (likely 1881) inscribed in coping. Set in rural landscape.
This small, robust bridge is vernacular in character and detailing. Its four small flat arches give it the appearance of a clapper bridge. The piers have tall cut-waters.
