Description

Triple-arch road bridge, built c.1800, crossing Abhainn Thulacha Beigile [Tullaghobegly River]. Rubble stone spandrels and parapet with flat render copings. Field stone voussoirs forming segmental arches, with render intrados and rubble stone cut-waters with smooth copings. Soffits gunnelled with cement.

Appraisal

A well-constructed and attractive feature in the rural landscape south of An Fál Carrach [Falcarragh]. The original structure remains intact, testament to the skilled labourers who built it in the early nineteenth century.
