Single-arch stone road bridge, built c.1780, spanning river. Random rubble stone parapet walls and spandrels with recent Scotch coping and strap pointing. Semi-circular arch with cut-sandstone voussoirs of varying sizes, with random rubble-stone soffit and abutments.
A small-scale bridge spanning the Cavan and Meath border that is typical of the roads traversing the lake, river, and stream rich landscape of the county. The bridge retains its architectural form and a rubble-stone arch barrel. The arch ring displays fine stone work, and the overal composition is typical of a rural late eighteenth century bridge.
