Single-arch railway bridge, built c.1885, formerly carrying railway line over road. Now disused. Squared rubble stone abutments and parapet with cut stone coping. Red brick lined barrel and rock-faced arch ring. Largely concealed by vegetation.
An good quality robust railway bridge that illustrates the high quality of construction employed for railway structures by the Midland Great Western Railway Company. The bridge is of social as well as architectural heritage interest, as a record of the great nineteenth century railway age and the formerly extensive railway network in the county.
