Single-arch stone hump backed railway bridge, built c.1885, over now disused railway line. Random rubble stone elevations with chamfered cut-stone parapet copings with higher end piers having shallow pyramidal capstones. Segmental arch of rock-faced cut stone voussoirs.
A good quality robust railway bridge, built using local building materials. It illustrates the high quality of construction employed by the Midland Great Western Railway Company for railway structures, even to provide access to private roads as in this case. The bridge is a physical record of the scale of the railway network in the past.
