Arched stone road bridge, built c.1780, spanning Owennayle River. Humped deck with parallel parapets, wing-walls splaying outwards at approach roads. Rubble stone parapets with Scotch copings. Arches not viewed due to overgrowth.
Spanning the Leitrim and Cavan county boundary, this stone bridge is a reminder of the road expansion schemes that were undertaken throughout the country in the late eighteenth century. It humped backed form, narrow width and construction are typical of its time.
