Description
Triple-span road-over-river estate bridge, built c. 1840. Uncoursed rubble limestone walling, dressed ashlar string course, triangular cutwaters with pyramidal caps. Shallow pointed-arch openings, moulded ashlar voussoirs. Ashlar parapet copings and square chamfered end piers. Carries demesne road over Arrow Unshin River.
Appraisal
This finely-crafted estate bridge is particularly notable for its pointed arches. It displays a high level of technical skill and craftsmanship in its masonry construction. It is similar to another bridge on Markree demesne.
