Single-span stone road-over-river bridge, built c. 1850. Tooled ashlar limestone voussoirs to segmental arch springing from chamfered platband, horizontal string course below parapet, wide pilasters to either side of arch, squared rubble limestone spandrels, parapets and sweep walls, rubble stone parapet copings, roughly dressed copings to pilasters. Macadamed carriageway, grass verges, located below Ox Mountains on narrow country road.
This fine little bridge, which is substantially unaltered, displays good quality stonework. Its importance is heightened by its picturesque location on the Sligo Way.
