Detached four-bay single-storey thatched house, built c. 1800. Gabled straw thatch roof, cement skews, unpainted rendered chimneystacks one with stepped capping. Painted smooth-rendered walling. Square-headed window openings, painted masonry sills, painted two-over two timber sash window to south end and six-over-three to north end. Square-headed door opening, painted timber vertically-sheeted entrance door. Set back from roadside with farmyard and single- and two-storey outbuildings to north and west.
This is one of the few remaining thatched houses in the area. It is a good, albeit fragile, example of the type. Sash windows which, through the number of panes, serve to illustrate development of the building over time, survive.
