Detached three-bay single-storey limestone former Protestant chapel, built c. 1855, now being converted to new use. Rectangular on plan with gabled vestry projecting from south-east. Roof currently being reslated, lead-clad louvred ventilator on ridge, moulded cast-iron gutters. Squared-and-snecked rock-faced ashlar walling, splay-capped buttresses, ashlar verge copings, simple stone cross on square pedestal to east gable, moulded corbelled eaves course. Pointed-arch window openings, all glazing removed, timber tracery to west window remains. Pointed-arch entrance door opening, label moulding, doors missing. Panelled ceiling to interior, all other interior details removed. Located to south-west of main building opposite Catholic chapel to east.
This handsome little chapel relates closely to the adjacent former hospital building. It is well detailed and the louvred ventilator and timber tracery are of particular note. It responds to the more-elaborate Catholic chapel sited opposite to the east.
