Detached single-bay two-storey stone water tower, built c. 1860, now disused. Cast-iron water tank with moulded panels and rounded corners on corbelled brick eaves. Coursed rubble limestone walling, raised brick quoins. Segmental-headed window opening, brick dressings and triple-course arch, window missing. Round-headed door opening, brick dressings and triple-course arch, door missing. Located at north end of former platform, disused railway line to east.
This example of railway architecture well illustrates how functional requirements were married with pleasing design to achieve quality in even the most modest of buildings. The use of stone and brick (an unusual combination in Tobercurry) adds to the character. It is now an important element of the industrial heritage of the area.
