Single-arch road-over-river stone bridge, built 1771. Roughly-dressed limestone walling laid in courses radiating from arch centers. Elliptical arch with, slightly projecting, dressed and rock-faced voussoirs. Dressed ashlar limestone square copings to low parapets forming shallow inverted 'V', simple wrought-iron railings. Each end of bridge terminated by square-section dressed limestone piers continuing as pilasters to river banks, pyramidal caps. Carved stone face in relief with date '1771' in panel above arch keystone on north side of bridge. Gravel carriageway flanked by grass verges. Carries avenue over Unshin River leading to Coopershill House.
This is very fine example of an eighteenth-century demesne bridge. It displays exceptionally fine, and quite unusual, masonry work and forms part of an interesting group of structures which adds to the overall character of the Coopershill demesne.
