Detached mausoleum, set on Mount Equity, built in 1763 for Henry St. George. Vaulted stone roof. Random coursed stone walls. Plaque and tooled entrance stone with stone lintels. Latin dedication inscribed to plaque.
Sited on a mound, this mausoleum can be viewed from a distance. The prominence of the setting reflects the standing of those to whom it is dedicated. Though its walls have begun to crumble, encouraged by the quarrying of stone from the west-facing elevation, it remains an architecturally and historically significant structure. The Latin inscription reveals the monument's history.
