Cast-iron post box, c.1905, with E.R. VII insignia and crown motif. The original door was replaced by the initial type of post box cast by the new Irish Government with the initials 'SE' and the harp emblem on it.

Appraisal

This post box is an attractive addition to the streetscape of the small village of Cloverhill. Located in a limestone wall opposite the Roman Catholic church in the village, the post box is particularly notable for the combination of elements dating from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
