Description
Octagonal limestone gate piers, erected c.1810, flanked by cut stone plinth wall with wrought-iron railings to south wall. Random coursed demesne wall to north and south of plinth. Wrought-iron gate with cast-iron gate pier to south-west. Located in the Lough Key Forest Park.
Appraisal
The simple form of these surviving gate piers is in contrast with the larger main entrance gates to the demesne. The surviving wrought-iron railings contribute to the otherwise unadorned entrance.
