Description
Mooring quay, built c.1810, comprising cut limestone quay terminating with steps to lake. Wrought-iron mooring rings to quay. Located on southern shore of Lough Key.
Appraisal
This landing place set in a tranquil and picturesque location, with uninterrupted views of Trinity Island, still retains its original form and materials. It is one of a number of landing places and quays situated along the southern shore of Lough Key, which attests to the use of the lake by the King family.
