Appraisal

The vitrolite shopfront to this house is a particularly striking feature within the streetscape. The contrasting Vitrolite, tiles and metallic dressings create an attractive design. Once common throughout Irish towns these shopfronts are becoming increasingly rare and the survival of this example is particularly notable as the structure is no longer used as a shop.
