Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1820, with two-storey return to rear, single-storey extension to north-west and advanced canted bay entrance porch. Pitched tiled roof with rendered chimneystacks. Pebbledashed walls with rendered plinth. Timber sash windows with stone sills. Timber panelled door surmounted by fanlight. Niches to side walls of entrance porch. Random coursed four-bay two-storey stone outbuilding to rear site. House set within its own grounds with functioning well to east.
Prominently sited and elevated from the main road, this handsome house frames the approach into Ballaghaderreen. This building retains its original proportions and many materials such as the attractive fanlight, eight-over-eight sash windows and the finely-constructed outbuilding to the rear site. The regular form of the house is broken by interesting shape of the entrance porch. The well within the house grounds is a particularly notable.
