Description
Single-arch road bridge over stream, extant 1895. Part ivy-covered tuck pointed tooled sandstone ashlar walls with drag edged tooled cut-sandstone "saddleback" coping to parapets. Single elliptical arch with tooled sandstone ashlar voussoirs. Set in landscaped grounds shared with Breaghwy Lodge spanning stream with shrub-covered banks to stream.
Appraisal
A bridge contributing positively to the group and setting values of the Breaghwy Lodge estate with the architectural value of the composition suggested not only by the "sparrow pecked" sandstone dressings demonstrating good quality workmanship, but also by the elegant "sweep" of the arch making a pleasing visual statement at a crossing over a minor stream.
