Attached two-bay single-storey forge, extant 1901, on a rectangular plan. Disused, 2003. Pitched slate roof with ridge tiles, rendered off-central chimney stack on limestone ashlar "wallhead" base (north), decorative timber bargeboards on timber purlins, and cast-iron rainwater goods with cast-iron downpipes. Irregularly coursed rough cut limestone walls with tooled cut-limestone flush quoins to corners. Square-headed window opening (west) with cut-limestone sill, and tooled limestone ashlar voussoirs framing casement window having vertical glazing bars. Square-headed door opening (east) with timber lintel framing timber boarded double doors. Set in grounds shared with Lough Rynn House.
A forge contributing positively to the setting of the Lough Rynn House estate. The site includes a so-called "binding stone" on which a timber cartwheel was placed when being fitted with a metal rim or "tyre".
