Detached three-bay single-storey with attic local authority house, built c.1900. Pitched slate roof with roughcast rendered chimneystacks, cast-iron rainwater goods and bargeboards. Roughcast rendered walls. Timber sash windows with timber panelled door to porch. Outbuilding to rear. Random coursed stone wall to front of site.
Situated to the north of Carrick-on-Shannon, this detached house is an early example of social housing in Leitrim, built to a standard form. It has retained its original features including timber sash windows, roughcast render and roof slates. These intact elements are of interest as many such features are often lost due to unsympathetic redevelopment.
