Single-arch ashlar limestone canal bridge, built c.1860, with rock-faced voussoirs to segmental-headed arch-ring. Located on the Woodford River Canal.
This stone bridge is a fine example of mid-nineteenth-century engineering and design. The combination of smooth ashlar and rock-faced voussoirs adds an interesting textural dimension to the structure. The bridge, which straddles a man-made waterway between two lakes is important within a social context.
