Painted milestone, c.1860, abutting rendered wall. Incised lettering in recessed face indicating the distances in miles to "CARRICK 11 DROMOD [number illegible] LONGFORD 11 M.HAMILTON 41". Lower half of stone broken off. Raised from footpath by recessed base.

This subtle item of street furniture is not only attractive but is also of social and historical interest. It contributes to the streetscape and cultural heritage of Dromod.
