Railway platforms with shed to western side, built c.1885 at Dromod Railway Station. Platform with stone retaining walls. Western side has gravel to ground with limestone kerbstones, while eastern side has tarmac to surface with concrete kerb. Brick walls to shed on rendered plinth, corrugated-iron barrel roof with cast-iron rainwater goods. Double timber battened door to façade and window to north end.
This platform and outbuilding form part of the complex of Dromod Railway Station and as such are of social significance. Built in the 1880s and still intact, the site is a physical reminder of the history of railway transport.
