Appraisal

This mausoleum was built in memory of Charles St. George and is located within the grounds of Hatley Manor. The temple-like structure, which is decorated with vermiculated rustication, a Tuscan portico and a finely carved coat-of-arms, is of both architectural and artistic merit. Intricate iron railings, piers and gates complete this unusual monument.
