Detached five-bay two-storey two-pile country house, built c.1730, having single-bay two-storey addition recessed to east end. Carved limestone doorcase with consoles and having timber panelled door, overlight and accessed by steps. Extensive yard of outbuildings to north-west. Set in its own landscaped grounds. Walled garden to south-west, bounded by rubble limestone walls and having stone-walled structures to north-west and north-east sides.

Appraisal

Drimcong House is a good example of a five-bay two-storey early eighteenth-century house. Its finely carved bracketed doorcase gives a decorative focus, and the attendant outbuildings and grounds provide important context to the house.
