Appraisal

This early nineteenth-century road bridge forms an imposing feature of the N63 road spanning the River Abbert near Abbeyknockmoy. There is evidence of early repairs and extensions as the road network throughout the county was improved. Its simple detailing exhibits evidence of local craftsmanship and materials and exhibits good quality traditional stone masonry.
