Farm complex to Moat House, built c.1825, on opposite side of road, comprising multiple-bay single-storey outbuildings, formerly housing cattle and sheep and farm machinery and carts. Hipped slate and corrugated-iron roofs where buildings are roofed, and random rubble limestone walls. Tooled limestone bellcote to gable end of ruined range. At rear of complex is brick chimney with square-plan tooled limestone base and limestone cap with unusual indented course of limestone.
This farm complex is an indication of the scale and sophistication of farming in east Galway in the nineteenth century. These ruined though handsome buildings still present a notable eyecatcher at a rural crossroads.
