Detached three-bay three-storey watermill, built c.1830, having waterwheel to south gable. Pitched slate roof with concrete copings to gables. Rubble limestone walls. Square-headed window and door openings with replacement concrete lintels, and timber battened fixtures. Small opening to south end of front elevation has limestone lintel. Wooden waterwheel to south gable with iron paddles and axle, latter resting in rubble limestone walling. Wooden sluice to west, tail race passes under road.
This building is a very good example of the many small rural mills in County Galway. Its intactness makes it very rare.
