Narrow hump-backed nine-arch limestone bridge, built c.1725. Walls of coursed rubble limestone with tall arches, round to west, downstream, side and pointed round to east side, having thin roughly cut voussoirs. Renovated recently with new pointing and cement copings and with insertion of metal tie rods and plates to northern four arches. Upstream side has tall cutwaters with concrete or rendered caps in which pipe has been carried.
This bridge makes a very nice composition with the ruined late seventeenth-century house on the Mayo bank of the river. Although very difficult to date, the narrowness of the arches and the roughness of the stone cutting suggest an early eighteenth-century date. The bridge is a fine example of the period and has been well maintained.
