Unpainted rendered wall to ground floor with rendered quoins to ends, rendered stringcourse to first floor, unpainted fine roughcast to first floor, and unpainted rendered walls to remainder. Square-headed window openings with rendered sills, and moulded rendered surrounds to front (east) elevation. Fittings now gone. Elliptical-headed door opening with rendered surround. Fittings (door, sidelights and overlight) now gone. Set back from road in own grounds with overgrown grounds to site.

Appraisal

A well-composed modest-scale house, possibly incorporating the fabric of an earlier house of site, and built to replace an earlier medieval castle, pre-1462, in the grounds. Although now in ruins, the house retains its original form and massing, and is of particular importance for its associations with the Drew family.
