Appraisal

This house, built as one of a pair, is an attractive and well-proportioned building that retains its original form. The rendered detailing produces an attractive visual effect in the composition. However, the inappropriate replacement fittings to the openings do not enhance the appearance of the house. The house, together with the second in the pair (22828015/WD-09-28-15) is a prominent feature in the streetscape, contrasting with the predominantly Victorian character of the remaining buildings on Gracedieu Road.
