Terraced three-bay two-storey house, c.1920. Refenestrated, c.1995. One of a pair. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered (shared) chimney stack, rendered coping, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted roughcast walls with painted rendered plinth. Square-headed window openings with rendered stepped sills and surrounds (shared between storeys). Replacement uPVC casement windows, c.1995. Square-headed door opening with rendered surround having moulded entablature over, and glazed timber panelled door with sidelights and overlight. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
This house, built as one of a pair, is an attractive and well-proportioned building that retains its original form. The rendered detailing produces an attractive visual effect in the composition. However, the inappropriate replacement fittings to the openings do not enhance the appearance of the house. The house, together with the second in the pair (22828015/WD-09-28-15) is a prominent feature in the streetscape, contrasting with the predominantly Victorian character of the remaining buildings on Gracedieu Road.
