Description

Detached three-bay single-storey rubble stone outbuilding with half-attic, c.1840. Now in ruins. Pitched roof now gone. Random rubble stone walls with lime mortar. Square-headed window openings with no sills, red brick ‘voussoirs’, and remains of timber fittings. Square-headed door opening with red brick block-and-start surround, timber lintel, and replacement iron-sheeted door, c.1990. Road fronted with grass verge to front. (ii) Detached three-bay single-storey rubble stone outbuilding, c.1840, to south. Now in ruins. Pitched roof now gone. Random rubble stone walls with lime mortar. Square-headed door openings with timber lintels, and fittings now missing. Set perpendicular to road with side (west) elevation fronting on to road.

Appraisal

An appealing range of rubble stone outbuildings of traditional construction that, although now disused and in ruins, continue to contribute to character of the area.
