Appraisal

An attractive gateway forming a picturesque feature fronting directly on to the streetscape. The construction of the piers attests to high quality stone masonry, particularly in the instances of the inscribed detailing, while the survival of a section of original wrought iron railings enhances the visual appeal of the composition.
