Terraced two-bay two-storey house, c.1910, retaining some original fenestration. Renovated, c.1960, with window opening remodelled to ground floor to accommodate commercial use. Now entirely in residential use. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond (shared) chimney stack and replacement uPVC rainwater goods, post-1999, on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls with rendered fascia, c.1960, to first floor. Square-headed window openings (in tripartite arrangement to first floor; remodelled, c.1960, to ground floor) with rendered sills. 1/1 timber sash windows to first floor with 1/1 sidelights, and replacement fixed-pane timber window, c.1960, to remodelled opening. Square-headed door opening with glazed timber panelled door. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
An appealing, small-scale house incorporating distinctive features, including a tripartite window opening, which contribute to the architectural value of the composition. Reasonably well maintained, the house retains much of its original form and massing, together with some important salient features and materials, and significantly enhances the streetscape value of Chapel Street.
