Freestanding five-bay single-storey rubble stone lime kiln, c.1895. Now disused. Broken coursed square rubble stone walls with chamfered corner to west having dressed stone quoins (some rusticated). Series of four shallow segmental-headed ovens with red brick surrounds, and red brick-lined vaults (having exposed headers). Set back from road in own grounds with overgrown grounds to site.
An attractive, substantial kiln, which forms an important element of the industrial heritage of County Waterford for its original intended use as a communal facility for the production of lime. Although now long disused, much of the original form and massing remains intact, while the openings to the ovens retain their original profile. The lime kiln at presents forms an attractive feature of picturesque value in the area, the rubble stone construction assimilating into the surrounding landscape.
