Terraced three-bay single-storey house, c.1860. Reroofed, c.1960. Refenestrated, c.2000. One of a terrace of six. Pitched (shared) roof with replacement artificial slate, c.1960, clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stack, and replacement plastic rainwater goods, c.1960, on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and replacement uPVC casement windows, c.2000. Square-headed door opening with replacement glazed uPVC panelled door, c.2000. Set back from line of road with tarmacadam verge to front.
An attractive house of small-scale proportions, which retains its original form and massing, but the external expression of which has been compromised by the insertion of inappropriate replacement fittings to the openings. Built as one of a terrace of six identical houses (with 22803008 - 9, 11 - 13/WD-08-03-08 - 09, 11 - 13), the house contributes positively to the appearance of Carrick Road, forming an integral component of a low-lying streetscape.
