Detached eleven-bay two-storey outbuilding, c.1880, retaining original aspect with single-bay single-storey end bay to east. Pitched slate roofs with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks and cast-iron rainwater goods. Unpainted lime rendered walls over random rubble stone construction. Square-headed window openings in bipartite arrangement with stone sills and timber casement windows. Square-headed door openings with timber boarded doors. Set back from road in grounds shared with Nirevale with stone cobbled courtyard to south.
A very fine, extensive outbuilding of informal proportions and arrangement to openings that has been very well maintained to present an original aspect, with most of the original salient features and materials intact. The outbuilding is an integral component of an substantially-intact middle-size farm holding and remains an important element of the architectural heritage of Ballymacarbry.
