Description

Detached single-bay single-storey gable-fronted coach house with half-attic, c.1820, with square-headed carriageway. Pitched (gable-fronted) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered coping and cast-iron rainwater goods on stepped rendered eaves. Unpainted rendered walls. Square-headed carriageway with timber boarded double doors and square-headed window opening over with timber boarded fitting. Set back from road in grounds shared with Sion Hill House.

Appraisal

This coach house, which has been well maintained to retain its original form and early character, forms an integral component of the Sion Hill House estate, and contributes to the historic appeal of the site.
