Description

Five-bay two-storey Garda station, built c.1935. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Rendered walls with render plat-bands and plinth and brick dressings to windows and door. Timber sliding sash one-over-one pane windows, some paired to first floor, with limestone sills. Segmental-arch doorway with replacement timber door having leaded coloured glass overlight.

Appraisal

Well-maintained and retaining its original character and features, this building blends with the traditional streetscape of the town but is distinguished by the red brick dressings to the front fa├žade.
