Three-arch hump back road bridge over river, built c.1800. Rubble limestone walls with dressed voussoirs to round arches. Square plinth to base of arches.
The simple form of this bridge is enlivened by the use of cut limestone to the voussoirs which contrasts with the rubble wall construction, creating textural variation. The modest appearance of the bridge is representative of the employment of local craftsmen and the use of readily available materials in its construction. Architectural detailing and engineering design are not apparent in the construction of the bridge and for this reason it is significant, as it is an example of a more traditional building form.
